Local Virtual Assistant

Why I choose to be a local Virtual Assistant

Everyone who knows me will tell you I am a massive tech geek. Yes, that’s a big bonus when you consider that my business life revolves around tech and the virtual world. I could easily support any business, anywhere in the World, but I choose to be a local Virtual Assistant within Exeter, Devon… Why?

I’ve recognised that even though tech is fantastic. Human contact is the best:

I use real in person connections to offset the coldness of technology.

As a local Virtual Assistant by far the best things about technology is that it makes me more efficient. I can briefly check in and keep in touch with clients’ and work from anywhere, however, it can also allow me to automate interactions with people. I send an email but does the recipient really know how I really feel about it? This also becomes even more apparent when we become good at delivering our virtual customer communication. Without real human interaction, we start to lose valuable relationships with living breathing people, which is not OK and this is not good for our business.

To ensure this doesn’t happen to you, allow your systems to manage your technology and basic interactions so that you can focus on the human connections that matter, if you are like me, a local virtual assistant.

Forgot how to do that? Here are a few tips to not only reignite the human connections but grow your business as well.

Network locally or if that’s not possible:

  • Establish human connection by conducting face to face results reviews with clients
  • Meet H2H a few times a year for a cuppa and catch up

Let’s face it, while the digital space can keep people connected, nothing replaces the value of meeting your clients’ face to face. Talk to your customers, meet with strategic partners, and become part of the local in-crowd. It’s amazing how beneficial this is for yourself and your local Virtual Assistant business. I currently have 14 retained local Virtual Assistant clients so it’s obviously working for me.

I tend not to think about B2B or B2C.  My small business ethos is H2H (Human to Human)
